Some places hold more than beauty; they hold history. Presley’s bridal session at her grandparents’ farmhouse was the kind of session that reminds me why I love meaningful locations more than perfectly curated ones. Every corner of this property carried pieces of her family’s story, making each portrait feel layered with sentiment and legacy.
We began inside the home, photographing in the dining room and along the staircase, where timeless details and soft window light created the most elegant setting. As we moved through the house, I couldn’t help but notice the walls lined with framed memories from engagement portraits and bridal photos to childhood snapshots and images from generations before. Presley is the second of three granddaughters to take her bridal portraits here and to know her images will soon join the collection displayed throughout their home is something truly special.
From there, we stepped outside, where the wind gave us that effortless movement photographers and brides alike dream of. The kind of natural, windswept beauty you can’t stage. We photographed in front of the white farmhouse as the sun peeked over the roofline, beside the flower beds overflowing with blooms, and finally in the field behind the house, where the sunset lit everything in gold, and the tall grass gently danced in the breeze.
It was the perfect evening, made even sweeter by the memories of photographing Presley and her fiancé’s engagement session here before. Presley was absolutely stunning, but more than that, this session was heartfelt and personal, telling a story greater than just photos.
