Lexi’s bridal session was a beautiful evening in early March. We met at Rouse Farm, which was where we did Lexi and James' engagement photos, and just a few weeks later, it would be the place they got married too. I always love when a location carries that much meaning, it makes everything feel a little more full circle.
Lexi brought the best little hype team with her: her mom, Mitzi; her best friend, Kelly; and Jody (her mom’s friend and their planner). And honestly, having them there made the whole evening even more fun and relaxed. There was a lot of laughing, fixing little details, and just soaking in the moment together.
The weather, despite it being early spring, was perfect. We got the dreamiest golden light, which just made everything glow. Rouse Farm already has so many beautiful spots, but when you add light like that, it really shows off. We moved around to some of my favorite areas, like the wooden cross, the fountain, and the fence line.
One of my favorite parts of the session was when we took some extra time to recreate a bridal portrait that Jody’s daughter had done at her own session. It took a minute to get everything just right, but it was 100% worth it. That image ended up being one of the two bridal portraits Lexi displayed at her wedding, which made the work to get the perfect photo worth the work!
Lexi looked so beautiful. Her dress and veil moved perfectly in the breeze, and her hair and makeup were just stunning. It was elevated, but still very natural to her. And her EYES! The colors in her bouquet made them pop in the best ways.
At the end of the session, I was reminded why I love my job so much. People celebrating one of life's biggest moments with their favorite people, and I get the front row seat to it all.
