It was a beautiful fall afternoon at Lake Wilson with love in the air! I had the privilege of capturing Hunter and Elaina’s engagement session on a beautiful autumn afternoon. Elaina and I met when she was the maid of honor for her friend Holly, whose wedding was one of the first I ever shot! Now it’s her turn in front of the lens and down the aisle, and I was more than excited to be a part of Hunter and Elaina’s journey towards their wedding next April.
On the day of their engagement session, we found ourselves in a park that seemed to be brimming with love–other couples filled the park, including some who were getting their wedding photos taken. Elaina and Hunter's love was beautifully evident throughout the session. Their smiles and laughter spoke volumes about their deep connection. As I focused my lens on them, I was reminded once again of the power of photography to capture the very essence of love and connection.
I couldn't help but reflect on the connections that photography has built in my own life. It brought me and Holly together, and now it was fostering a new connection between Elaina and Hunter and me. This is what makes photography my dream job–at its core, photography is a celebration of the connections and love that define our lives.
As Hunter and Elaina prepare to embark on the journey of a lifetime, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to them and eagerly await their wedding next spring! I'm truly looking forward to being part of their wedding and capturing the next chapter of their journey as they say "I do."
