Now that Amelia is officially married, I can finally share her beautiful bridal session at The Hartwood in Selma, NC, and let me tell you, it was such a good one. We photographed her bridals back in January, and even though it was absolutely freezing outside, you would never know it from these images. Amelia smiled through the entire session and brought such a calm, joyful energy that made everything feel effortless. She truly handled the cold like a champ, and the end result was so worth it.
One of my favorite things about this session was how it blended classic bridal portraits with a few more editorial-style images. We captured those timeless, elegant photos every bride wants, but we also made space to get a little creative and honestly, those images ended up being some of my favorites. They stretched me creatively in such a fun way while still fitting the overall feel of her gallery so beautifully.
And the light...it was perfect! The warmth in the sun gave this entire session the prettiest glow and made a cold January day feel so soft and romantic. That golden warmth, paired with Amelia’s smile, created such a dreamy combination. The Hartwood in Selma, North Carolina, was the perfect backdrop for her bridal portraits. It has such a timeless feel to it, and it photographed beautifully for every part of Amelia’s session.
Bridal sessions like this are always such a reminder that even when conditions aren’t perfect, beautiful images are still possible. You don’t need warm weather or spring blooms for a session to feel magical; sometimes all it takes is a bride who fully leans into the moment and trusts me throughout the process. Amelia absolutely did that, and I’m so excited to share these now that she's finally married!
