That's the setting of the Wise’s last-minute beach family session, a spontaneous adventure that embodies the heart of what I do. Sometimes life throws us unexpected curveballs and in the world of photography, that can mean last-minute cancellations. But when the Wise family’s previous photographer couldn't make it to their planned sunrise session at Atlantic Beach, I stepped in to ensure this family's special moment wasn't lost.

Baron Wise has been a friend of my husband’s for years, and I have been fortunate to find a friend in his brother Drake’s girlfriend Katie, since she and I go to church together. The Wise family had planned to end their trip to Atlantic Beach with a photo session, which perfectly aligned with Drake and Katie’s one year anniversary. I knew how much the Wises were looking forward to their photos, so when Katie texted me on Thursday that their photographer had canceled and asked for my help, I was happy to go the extra mile to make their vision a reality.
