Sometimes a session is as natural and warm as the couple in front of

the lens. I love when couples can get comfortable with each other in front of the camera and pretend I’m not even there! This relaxed demeanor creates a romantic ambiance, as if the couple has stepped right out of the pages of a storybook.

I was so excited to take Madison and Nathan’s engagement pictures at Lake Wilson, and their undeniable connection and chemistry unfolded beautifully during the session. We strolled down numerous trails, ventured through a scenic field, and crossed a charming bridge, all while chasing the perfect late-summer golden hour light. At every turn, Madison and Nathan's sincere affection gifted us with one picturesque photo after another.

Madison and Nathan's paths first crossed at church, thanks to some purposeful conversations initiated by her mom and his aunt. Once they found themselves in the same small group, their connection ignited instantly. It's evident that Madison and Nathan are completely enamored with each other, from the spontaneous laughter that filled their session to the naturally adorable foot pop Madison showcased effortlessly.

Especially in wedding and engagement photography, it’s important to allow couples to be themselves and capture genuine moments. This freedom allows the images to tell an authentic version of the couple’s unique love story. When I can capture those quirks, laughter, and yes, even some happy tears, it's what gives the photos that emotional 'oomph.’ It makes them more than just pretty pictures; they are cherished keepsakes of a special time.

I can’t wait to continue telling Madison and Nathan’s love story at their wedding in January, preserving even more of the beautiful journey they are on.
