In-home family sessions are my very favorite to shoot because setting a session at home allows me to step into the heart of a family's life. The familiar surroundings put everyone at ease and allow us to capture truly authentic and intimate moments. When I walked into Somer and Nick's home, I felt like I was welcomed not only as a photographer, but also as a friend. We hit it off instantly because Parker, their little one, is just 11 days older than my own son, which gave us plenty to talk about!

What I loved most about the Delbridge home was the story told through the pictures that adorned the walls. Each frame held a memory, and it was a beautiful reminder of the love that had blossomed within those very walls. Being in their home, I couldn't help but feel excited knowing that the pictures created during our session would soon be added to their walls, expanding their already cherished collection.

And the setting of these pictures—let's talk about that! Their beautiful white bedspread created the perfect backdrop and brightened every shot with dreamy elegance, mirroring the warmth of this wonderful family.

There's beauty in simplicity, and that's what I love about in-home sessions; they allow me to highlight the uniquely beautiful aspects of each family's home. From the worn-in couch where countless family movie nights have unfolded, to the kitchen table that's seen leisurely shared meals and stories, to the nursery where dreams and lullabies intertwine – these are the settings where your family's story is written. By capturing your session within these familiar walls, we can celebrate the simple, the heartfelt, and the authentic.

In-home family sessions are, without a doubt, my favorite, as they allow us to capture the authentic, everyday moments that make a family's story remarkably their own. If you're eager to embrace the beauty of simplicity in your own home and create photos that reflect your unique family story, I'd be honored to capture those moments for you.
